2007 Grenache Blanc Camp Four Vineyard
We’ve been touting Grenache Blanc as an exciting varietal for some time now and it seems that a lot of people are beginning to jump on the bandwagon! Many top sommeliers are embracing this somewhat unknown grape due to its ability to deliver ripe, citrusy fruit flavors, steely mineral notes and pleasing texture while still retaining crisp acidity to complement many styles of cuisine.
The majority of this wine (approximately 85%) was aged in stainless steel tanks to retain the aromatics and “freshness” of the wine while the balance was aged in older, neutral French oak barrels to help soften and round out the texture.
You’ll find forward peach, grapefruit and honeysuckle flavors on the palate backed by great structure making this enjoyable early but also a candidate for some bottle age. 300 cases made.
Winery Direct Price: $23.00 Wine Club: $20.70
