2008 Epiphany – Camp Four Vineyard
Grenache Blanc
Retail: $24.00 Wine Club $20.40
Tasting Notes:
Over the years, Grenache Blanc has been one of the most surprising wines in our line up. When we first started producing this wine back in 2003, it was virtually unheard of. In fact, most people thought we just took the juice of the Grenache Noir grape and made it into a white wine!
But now, 5 years later, we are proud to say that our Grenache Blanc is one of our most sought after white wines both in the tasting room and in the wholesale market.
The fact that it is a two-time winner of the prestigious “Best White of Show / Double Gold” at America’s largest annual wine competition, the San Francisco International Wine Competition, definitely helped this wine gain its popularity. But, it is really the special qualities you find in a glass of this wine that make it stand out from all of the other whites.
Grenache Blanc embodies the term “balance” with its big forward peach, apple and pineapple flavors balanced by the enticing floral and mineral notes and a round, mouth-coating texture balanced by the crisp acidity which allows the wine to be fresh and finish cleanly. This is truly a wine that everyone can enjoy.
