2004 Paradise Road Vineyard Syrah

For the very first time, we are proud to introduce the 04 Paradise Road Syrah. The grapes for this wine come from one of the most unique and picturesque vineyards located right off Hwy 154, halfway in between our valley and Santa Barbara. Due to its inland location, it is a very warm site, but still enjoys a consistent maritime influence. We aged the wine completely in French oak barrels, 50% were new and 50% were 3 year old barrels. The extended barrel aging – 25 months!- imparted nice toasty, spicy oak notes to the wine.

This is a dynamic addition to our single-vineyard syrah portfolio. Big, forward dark fruit flavors are complemented by racy, peppery spice notes. The wine is rich and round texturally with good tannin structure and balance. We hope you enjoy our new addition as much as we do! 97 cases made.
